While men’s watches often get top billing, women’s timepieces are just as worthy of note. Here’s a look at a few of the most statement-making options available today.
The Cape Cod watch is an Hermès classic, made in Switzerland and featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial with an interchangeable, double-loop strap. Its elegance comes from its simplicity.
“Women’s watches shouldn’t be limited to ‘shrinking, pinking, and adding a few diamonds,” says Audemars Piguet. That’s why the watchmaker developed the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, its first-ever women’s concept watch and also the flying tourbillon in the company’s history.
Patek Philippe recently debuted this new look for its manually-wound women’s chronograph, the Ref. 7150/150R. The watch features a rose-gold case and a silvery opaline dial framed by a bezel encircled with diamonds.
This year, Breguet launched a new version of its Reine de
Naples 8908 model, the first timepiece of the eponymous collection that launched in 2002. The new iteration includes an 18-karat rose-gold case set with 128 diamonds and a dial partially made from Tahitian mother-of-pearl.
Van Cleef & Arpels
Introduced in January for the the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), the Lady Arpels “Planétarium” Poetic Complications watch features diamonds set in 18-karat white and rose gold along with a diamond bezel and white gold bracelet set with diamonds.
Bovet’s Miss Audrey is convertible from a wristwatch to a table clock to a pendant. Available in blue and brown dials with a 36mm diameter stainless-steel case, the watch is the lightest in its collection.
The True Thinline Nature collection from Rado was inspired by the watchmaker’s partnership with the Grandi Giardini Italiani, an association of major gardens in Italy and Malta. Three colors and three new dial designs paired with high-tech ceramic bracelets represent earth, water, and leaves.
First released in 2008, the rose gold Kalparisma collection included the first Parmigiani Fleurier women’s watch with a self-winding mechanical movement. Now, the Kalparisma Nova Galaxy gets its name from its aventurine dial designed to resemble starlit sky thanks to tiny copper inclusions in the aventurine glass.

Baume & Mercier’s Petite Promesse watch’s wraparound orange strap makes a statement alongside its diamond case and mother-of-pearl dial.
An updated classic, this Tank Anglaise watch is made out of 18-karat pink gold and includes a nine-sided crown set with a sapphire, a lacquered silvered flinqué dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, and a sapphire crystal.
IWC unveiled two new ladies’ watches to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the brand this year; the Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition “150 Years” returns to a style the company first focused on during the late 1980s. The elaborately decorated jewelry watch is available in two limited-edition models made of either 18-carat white or red gold, and each model is restricted to 50 watches. Both models include 206 pure white diamonds that amount to 2.26 carats.
Introduced at Baselworld 2018, Rolex’s new Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 includes redesigned case sides and lugs and comes in 18-karat white, yellow or the watchmaker’s signature Everose gold. This version also features diamonds around the bezel and at each hour mark on top of a stunning mother-of-pearl dial.
Piaget’s Possession diamond and rose gold watch has a rotating, diamond filled bezel with an interchangeable lapis blue, alligator-skin strap.
The Longines Record automatic models from Longines are classically elegant, with 52 diamonds set in the stainless-steel case. Each watch in the collection is also certified as a “chronometer,” an official title issued by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), and they come with COSC certificates that to vouch for the accuracy of the watches’ movements.
The De Ville Trésor is part of Omega’s new collection for which Kaia Gerber followed in her mother Cindy Crawford’s footsteps as an ambassador for the brand. The slim case is made from stainless-steel and features diamond paving that curves along each side, and the lacquered white dial includes Roman numerals in blue alongside blue hands.
With its mother-of-pearl dial and celestial features, the Rendez-Vous Night & Day stainless-steel watch is aptly named because it’s a perfect style accessory no matter the time of day. Diamonds act as index-markers, and the watch is available in sizes from 29 to 34 mm in both stainless-steel and pink gold cases.
